Miriam makes films that celebrate everyday heroes, through the lens of popular culture. She captures intimate stories of people who we do not notice whether a Bollywood dancer who moonlights as a rat killer (The Rat Race), children choosing music over violence in an area known for gang warfare (Lyari Notes). Her films have premiered at IDFA, won the Mipdoc Co Production challenge at Cannes and broadcast on Arte, YLE, DR, RSI and Netflix.
