Shubham Sharma, a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist and visual anthropology student at the University of Munster, explores the intricate relationship between migration and masculinity in his native Punjab region of India. Through a unique blend of artistic mediums, his work examines the intricate interplay between individual identity, movement, and cultural transformation. Each piece serves as a testament to the synergy between art and anthropology, showcasing the potential of storytelling as a means of understanding the multifaceted world we inhabit.

Project Abstract:

1. Migration is more than a series of events; it is a profound sensorial experience that demands a departure from conventional storytelling. This project embraces the belief that to truly convey the collective response of a generation facing the complexities of migration, the narrative must transcend the limitations of language and engage the audience on a sensory level.

2. An interactive website where one can follow a rumor about an arranged marriage from different perspectives. Does truth get lost in the sea of rumors or does it reveal more than just a truth? This interactive and hybrid project aims to reflect on the truth by interacting with people belonging to a small neighbourhood in Punjab.
